The spiritual growth
The Concept of samthaa originated by how to make a balance between inner & outer growth.
Sustainable Action for Mankind by Traditional Himalayan Awareness and Adaptation (SAMTHAA) is an Non-Profit Organization (NGO) registered by the Office of Registration of Societies, Kumaon Region, Haldwani, Nainital with Registration number UK06608082019001846 dated 3rd of August 2019.
Samthaa (equanimity) is a word that gives the real meaning to a life and verily defines the compassionate world around us. The word Sam (being equanimous) has been used in several connotations in Bhagwat Gita, the most concise book on philosophy till date. Let's join to practice samthaa in every moment of life. The samthaa organization is an initiative made by the people of Uttarakhand which serves as a platform to provide a connecting link between the Individual/Village/Community who are in problems and the Individual/NGO/Government who can provide the solutions. The goal of Samthaa is to provide solutions to human problems. Those who wish to help us in contributing to an improvement in human lives are always welcome.
The organization envisage the overall growth of the people of Himalayas; first in basics viz. Health, Education & Economy (HEE) which will give pave to the development of moral and spiritual initiation.
Our motto is to develop a sustainable action using a traditional Himalayan approach to adapt in the nature and growing with it. To achieve the motto, we must solve the basic day to day routine problems and to strengthen each and everybody in terms of Health, Education & Economy (HEE). Here comes the role of SAMTHAA, the basic function of which is to provide a platform where in the problem will meet not only the solution but a sponsorer to help in meeting the positive outcome. Once the basic problems get solved and HEE is achieved, a sustainable cycle will automatically tread the path of harmony and peace among the people of Himalayas and mother earth.
To participate and giving a helping hand to support individual or whole village in making them independent and self-sustainable in terms of HEE.
A thought took its way out in the form of an organized functional entity, the SAMTHAA equanimity with sustainable action. The timeline of the development of samthaa started with the first meeting in that direction on 16 July 2018 in Almora city, Uttarakhand between four people (two doctors, a scientist and an engineer). The second meeting extended to five (one MBA graduate) likeminded people on 14-15 August 2018 at Dwarahat, Almora where we discussed the road map for the future of the organization. The third meeting we added to six (a volunteer villager) on 10-11 November 2018 at Ramnagar, Nainital and this time we also took one step ahead to visit a village Nalni near Nainital city to explore the possibility of developing an area to a model of agriculture and dairy. The society named SAMTHAA got registered on 3rd of August in 2019 and after that there is no looking back and we are growing daily with new achievements.
As we all know even a single person can also make a difference by one's action in a right direction, but can you imagine if we collectively strive for a change in the betterment, we can make a major difference in the lives of Himalayan people. We want to extend ourselves which we cannot do without adding everyone having same vision and willing to serve with us to make it a big impact on human life.
Most of the Himalayan regions do lack in the very basic facilities which make them more vulnerable to diseases and among them two very concerning area is inadequate access to potable water and malnutrition. This is further compounded by the lack of awareness among these populations about the measures needed to protect their health, their distance from medical facilities, the lack of all-weather roads and affordable transportation.
Most common health problems of the hilly population are deficiency of essential components in diet like energy malnutrition, protein calorie malnutrition and micronutrient deficiencies (Goiter, Gastrointestinal disorders, particularly dysentery and parasitic infections are very common, further compounded by social issues like excessive consumption of alcohol, poor access to contraceptive, substance abuse and gender-based violence. Women are heavily overworked, physically demanding tasks fall heavy on them such as collecting fuel wood and fodder from distant forests and fetching drinking water. This is compounded by the fact that they live on a low-calorie diet. They have limited access to hospitals during pregnancy and for delivery of the child. All these seriously affect the health of the mothers and their children. In addition to their poor socio-economic condition, another major cause of their sufferings is lack of education and public awareness. Besides other reasons, like poor budget allocation, difficult to reach, poor access to health care facility, severe shortage of qualified health workers and workforce led to poor governance of health sector in hilly areas. Our organization will time to time do awareness programme related to health and provide basic health care facilities with help of volunteer Doctors, who will devote their time for the betterment of the society.
To increase public awareness about health through Information, Education and Communication (IEC) campaigns. What is IEC in public health? Information, Education and Communication (IEC) is a public health system approach aiming at changing or reinforcing health-related behaviours in a target audience, concerning a specific problem and within a pre-defined period of time, through communication methods and principles.

These programmes will help local community To increase the awareness regarding sign, symptoms and management strategies for health hazards to improve disease control. To provide affordable and acceptable basic health care services to the area by conducting medical camps
The philosophy of public education which we followed independence that was established by British ruler while they have their own objectives to rule India longer through education and policy. Everyone know that education is a powerful tool. This powerful tool has been used for various purposes in mankind history. Before writing about the problems in education we must think about “the Aims of education” or what we want through education. Who will decide the Aims of education for human being? Presently every country has their different objectives and they want to achieve through education. The purpose of education for Japan is quite different from USA. The purpose of education changes according to the governing body, according to what future they want for a pried of time. Presently we are a democratic republic country and we have our constitution, and constitution of India is a visionary document.it is self-explanatory in nature. These words freedom, just, human, equitable provides vision for education.
